"Sing the glory of His name, make His praise glorious!"  Psalm 66:2

Here at the Sanctuary we believe worship is a lifestyle. The primary purpose of the Worship Department is to make His praise glorious and to create an environment  where people of all ages and walks of life can connect with God in thanksgiving, praise, and adoration.

PREREQUISITES FOR PARTICIPATION

Choir membership is determined by responses to the following questions:

Spiritual: Have you been born again and do you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? As a believer are you devoted to a lifestyle of *holiness and obedience to God’s word?

Church membership: Have you attended the Sanctuary for at least three months?

Age: Are you at least 16 years of age or older?

Rehearsals: Are you willing to attend weekly Tuesday evening rehearsals which are required for all members? (see Explore section for more details)

Service requirement: Are you willing to serve (sing or play) in at least 1 worship gathering per week?

Choir commitment: Are you able and willing to commit to at least 1 full year of ministry? Have you prayed and talked with your family about your desire or decision to become involved?

Worship: Do you consider yourself someone who enjoys worshipping God?  Would you be comfortable worshipping the Lord publicly?

Orientation: Are you willing to attend a required orientation meeting with the choir director/ministry pastor to obtain important ministry information and fill out a questionnaire before becoming a member?

Auditions:
Are you willing to participate in a simple audition?  Fear not!  Choir auditions are quick, easy, and harmless and used only to determine one's range and whether one can sing notes on pitch.  Choir prospects do not have to prepare solo's or sight-read music.  However, one must be able to hear, recognize, and sing pitches accurately to be considered for the choir.

Band Auditions require actually playing a prepared piece on one's instrument and reading pre-selected chord charts or lead sheets that will be provided at the audition.  All auditions are held with Pastor Chad and individually scheduled.  Once you sign up for either the choir or band you will be contacted to setup an audition time.

Contact Information: If interested in knowing more about the worship ministry contact Pastor Chad at 386-734-7777 x230 or cstafford@sanctuaryonline.cc

* ”Holy” in this context means a life that is lived in freedom from sin and in devotion to God. Because we are a ministry team it is imperative that all members live in accordance with scripture. To live a holy life one should daily commit to following biblical principles and live separated from the world and live a life separated unto God.
